Skills and employability

We help build the skills of young people and adults so they are able to work and compete in today’s globalised world. By encouraging closer links between education and industry we strengthen the technical and vocational sector.

We provide institutions with:

  • International conferences, seminars, workshops and study visits
  • Enterprise challenges for young people
  • International skills partnerships.

International Education Services

British Council International Education Services is a global programme to support UK Education institutions in their international work.  We operate in more than 50 countries, providing services for international student recruitment, market intelligence, and enabling the development of working relationships with institutions in countries.

International Professional Learning Communities

College staff have the opportunity to visit a country overseas to observe best practice in workforce skills development and explore the integrated network of partners that collaborate to ensure that education and training prepare the population for the world of work. The visits will help to inform policy and help shape the further education sector in Wales.
